Our Impact

CHERF enhances the well-being of individuals with developmental disabilities by offering tailored support and resources that meet their unique needs. We focus on empowering these individuals to achieve greater independence, improve their social skills, and access inclusive opportunities within their communities. Through personalized programs, advocacy, and commitment to fostering understanding and acceptance, we aim to create a meaningful and positive impact on their lives.

Through our outpatient community and mental health services, along with our community partners we aim to help individuals dealing with substance issues find the assistance they need to live a healthier, more fulfilling lifestyle.

Our Residential services offer a range of options for individuals looking to improve their quality of life in a safe and healthy environment. CHERF provides residential services specifically tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals with developmental disabilities. By prioritizing well-being, CHERF delivers essential support services in a nurturing atmosphere. These residential services empower individuals to maintain independence while receiving the necessary care and support to thrive.

Representative Payee

Representative Payee services support individuals as they navigate their financial responsibilities. By effectively utilizing funds from the Social Security Administration, these services play a key role in helping individuals manage their current and future financial obligations with confidence and stability.

CHERF Mission

The Community-Based Health, Education, and Rehabilitation Foundation (CHERF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals of all ages with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Through comprehensive healthcare, education, strength-based interventions, and rehabilitation services, we aim to empower these individuals to reach their full potential and independence. We provide high-quality services, advocate for our clients' needs, and foster collaborative partnerships with families. Additionally, we strive to empower underprivileged individuals by helping them uncover their inner strengths and elevate their quality of life, regardless of financial circumstances.
